Submission Guidelines

We are not accepting any submissions at this point. Thank you for your consideration of Speculation Press.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a couple more books for the next year. Speculation Press publishes character-driven science fiction and fantasy. Our audience is about 75% women. We are looking for books that appeal to intelligent women. Romance is not necessary, although many of our books have a romance aspect. Interesting characters and a compelling plot are more important than a romance aspect.

The best way to get a feel for what type of books we are looking for is to read a couple of our books.

All books should be within 95,000 and 120,000 words.

How to Submit a Book for Consideration

Send an email to winifred@speculationpress.com. The email should contain a synopsis of the book as well as the word count. Attach to the email the first 20 pages of the book, preferably in Word format. Then be patient. We will let you know if we want to read the entire book.

Any unsolicited full book submissions will be returned unread.
